There is an actual metric (x barrels per year, with x being the number I'm too lazy to look up) for calling one's self a "micro-brew."
Lately, a number of breweries are starting to use the term "craft beer;" mostly because some of the bigger players and pioneers of the resurgence of American beer (Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Harpoon) were getting close to that cut off!
