roadrunnertwiceThe lining on my (used, $16) Timbuk2 purse is crumbling to dust, so it’s time to shop for a replacement. And god damn, I wish Chrome made a bag this size. I have one of their messenger backpacks, and Good Bag, Best Friend. ELEVEN YEARS of nigh-daily use hasn’t been enough to even wound it, much less come close to killing it. I paid $180 for this thing in 2008 and it’s at the point where I almost feel guilty about that. I’d pay $250 for a purse with equivalent build quality without batting an eye.
But they ain’t got one, and I don’t have another brand I trust like that, so that turns shopping into A Project. Black Star have a “side bag” I’m intrigued by, but I need to see it in person first; maybe I’ll wander down to Hawthorne this weekend.
