Operation Thalassathalassa

I went to the coast! On my motorbike! And it was gorgeous. The end.

ocean thru trees sun filtering thru trees a hill a cape base of cape side of cape a fucked up tree and some rocks! falcon cape on the cape hills also on the cape hills picnic area near picnic area driftwood and beach

Really, it did wonders for my mental health. I think I should institute regular ocean breaks in my life.

Also, apropos of nothing... when surfing through my photos, I suddenly found myself nostalgic and homesick for winters in St. Paul:

I am clearly high.

I think just looking at those pictures is improving my mental health a little! Damn, those are gorgeous.

Man do I love our coast. It's all trees, trees, trees, OCEAN. Rocks. Sketchy houses and endearing kitsch. It looks like you caught sick weather for it too.

Mmm. Falcon Cove, yes? Oswald West State Park?

It's my favorite Oregon beach.

That looks like something out of Riven. I kind of have a hard time believing it's real.

Also, I think we all carry some sort of Stockholm syndrome related to midwestern winters. I know exactly what you mean. I'm usually consoled by realizing that it would be sort of invigorating to do it for a day, but then I would remember it sucks and I would wish I were somewhere where I could wear a T-shirt on Christmas. Then I realize that I am somewhere like that and it's awesome.
