John Allison killed off Scary Go Round a month or two ago. Go read his new comic; it is brand-spanking fresh, and sharp like tacks and/or cutlery.

I was actually really bummed about SGR for most of this year, because it was one of my favorites for a long-ass time, and then it started kinda sucking. Not sucking aggressively! It just stopped being good. (And it stopped being good remarkably fast. I remember really liking the start of the storyline from around January or so, and then all of a sudden I was out.)

Anyway, it's been replaced now, by a quite-similar-but-not-the-same thing called Bad Machinery, which—I would like to re-emphasize—you should go read. It is better. In fact, it's starting out right around where Scary Go Round was at its absolute peak. I'm interested to see where it goes from there.

Allison's done this once before, by the way. Scary Go Round was a cast shake-up and setting reboot of his previous comic, Bobbins. (And perennial underdog Ryan Beckwith has now survived as a major character through all three incarnations of the strip, which, I approve.)
