Take a number
Feb. 3rd, 2006 08:14 pmThis has been bouncing around places, so:
You can get one song from my iTunes—pick a number between 1 and 4672.
If it's a podcast or something lame like that, I'll just increment it until I find something real.
ETA: Also, the last 100 or so are j-pop or j-rock of some species or another. So if you don't dig, that's where not to look.

Date: 2006-02-04 07:46 am (UTC)...Bjork is so odd. The funny thing about Bjork is that I saw her pop up on MTV sometimes, so I'd heard her music, but I never remembered it because I was so completely distracted by her videos and how trippy-cool they were.

Date: 2006-02-04 10:50 am (UTC)Truth be told, I didn't "get" her music until after some rather specific drug experiences. I've actually talked with a lot of other people who had similar Björk learning curves. I dunno; seems unfair to class her as "drug" artist. Maybe she's just that odd. It was an exciting feeling, though, to finally listen to her music and have it click perfectly; unlike pretty much anything else ever. Anyway, yeah: Björk!
Additional funny story: I've been slowly starting to use SoulSeek (user: lulu_zinfandel), and finally turned on my own music as a share. What was the first song anyone downloaded from me? The one I just got from you. I have amazing guess-taste.

Date: 2006-02-05 10:32 am (UTC)And hah, I'd forgotten that I'd gotten her into V6! The tables have turned to the point that I tend to assume she's the source for all the Japanese stuff I know about.
(I think we independently discovered console RPGs and Ranma 1/2 at about the same times, though.)
