Fuck the Gossip. Boring, boring, boring. And the lead singer was aiight for a minute, but she was really disrespectful and boring. Like she said things like "this is the lamest--I mean tamest--crowd I've ever seen in Austin. I just ate a pork sandwich. There were a lot of pickles on it." So fuck that.

Just saving you some time and money.

Oops, I like the Gossip.

Then again, I've only ever seen 'em on their home turf, so I didn't see that bitchiness. (Oly's small; they all know her anyways.) But did you seriously not like "Movement?"

I like the Gossip too, which is why I went to see them. But I was pissed off. It was South by Southwest and they had canceled their show at the VERY last minute. Like, they were headlining a four-band sold out show and the third band was like "The Gossip just called and they won't be here tonight." So they played a "make up" show the next day that was sweltering hot and filled with people who liked them enough to come again after they had canceled. And they never explained themselves. She was just like, "Oh, yeah, sorry we didn't show up last night. Anyway, here's a new song."

I really like her voice, but it wasn't enough for me. Sorry, there's residual anger there.

Tangent! I know I'm missing out on some of the less-than-national shit that's going down, because I basically don't know my Minneapolis scene. What's coming up that you recommend? Any pals from Madison swinging through?
