1. So last night*, I made it to Marshall & Fry a little bit late and just barely missed the 21. I was like, "OK, time to chase me some fucking bus!" Now, doing this on foot is just about the most miserable and hopeless and sickmaking thing you can decide to do on a Monday night, but if you've got a bike under you, it's actually kind of fun. But the bus wasn't making as many stops as it usually does, and I kept falling further behind.

Regardless, I actually chased it all the way to the Mississippi before I decided to just let it go. I was done: I would either sit down on the first bench on Lake Street for 20 minutes, or I would just take it easy and bike the rest of the way home at a sane pace. But then this burst of overproduced deliciousness pumped through my headphones, because New Order's "Close Range" had come up on my iPod, and when the dude started singing, "You've got to pull yourself together, man!!1@!" I tell you what, I felt like Rocky or something. Reader, I ran that fucking bus DOWN.

2. At one point, I think I publicly said that "KC Accidental" was, quote, "The Best Fucking Track On The Album." (The album being You Forgot It In People.) Yyyyeah. See, at the time, I actually didn't have the entire album. This was one of the ones that kind of came with my computer, and it was a little broken; tracks 1 and 10 were cut off at about the 30 second mark, and tracks 4 and 6 were missing entirely, and I didn't notice this for a while. I managed to snag all of those off some local person's iTunes share recently, and, well... it turns out that "Almost Crimes [Radio Kills Remix]" is actually the Best Fucking Track On The Album. We regret the error.
