ARRRRGH. My computer is in the shop. It is going to cost money to fix. It'd been having weird problems involving waking from sleep, and then this morning it choked and randomly shut down while I was listening to music. This sucks.

Whoa dude. When mine was doing that it was because the motherboard was on its last legs. Here's hoping it's something easy to fix.

I'm not sure if it's better or worse that yours is like, manufacturer-designed to die out. Mine went kaput because I was powering a USB keyboard off a tiny power supply in Kirk in the summer and it overheated. Gateway was kind enough to replace it for free.

Hahaha, no, this all happened the summer after sophomore year. Last year the issue was the power supply itself giving out.
