I was really planning to not do this one, but nostalgia is a harsh mistress. This meme goes out to all my homies in the RPGFFSMB!

1. What was the first Final Fantasy game you played?

   Six!

2. Which FF games have you played?

   In order:
   VI, IV, Mystic Quest (didn't finish it), VII, Tactics, VIII, IX (didn't finish it), I (for about ten minutes in 2002), X, Tactics Advance, V.

3. Which is your favourite FF game?

   You know, I think it might be X, which seems weird to me somehow. It's a tight contest between that one and VI.

4. Who are your three favourite FF characters?

   Locke, Celes, Kain. Or at least they were at the time. I was playing some FF6 a little while ago, and I think I may have changed a lot since I made that decision. Not sure yet.

5. Who are your three least liked FF characters?

   Butz, Cecil, Garnet. (I'm not counting garbage characters like Gau, or those, like Steiner, whose entire interest as a character was based on being irritating as hell.)

6. Which FF game had the best soundtrack?

   Huh. Umm.... Tactics. If you restricted me to the main series, probably VI.

7. Which are your favourite five pieces of FF music?

   Dunno... Searching for Friends, uh... yeah, I'm stuck.

8. Which is your favourite Chocobo theme?

   After V, they were all kind of redundant and irritating and gimicky. VI was really cool on the first playthrough or two. Right now I've got IV on my cellphone as the alarm tone, so that's probably my answer.

9. Which is your favourite Chocobo colour?

   Yellow?

10. Do you have an FF website?

    HAHAHAHA oh man, don't we all remember the days.

11. Does Amano do the best character designs?

    You know, the designs go through so many layers of processing that I have a hard time remembering who did which game, so I think I'm gonna beg out on this one. (Amano's cool, but I think Nomura did a pretty fabulous job with the designs for VIII.)

12. Which character would you most like to have sex with if they were real?

    What, seriously? Eew.

    Actually, I bet Faris would be awesome in the sack. Moving on.

13. If you had a job from any FFV's Job system, which would it be?

    Dragoon!

14. What's your favourite non-Final Fantasy Squaresoft RPG?

    Secret of Mana! (Best game ever? Maybe!)

15. Which FF town would you most like to live in?

    Whoa, hmm. Maybe one of those places from VIII. Actually, no, that dead city from X. What was its name. Was that Zanarkand? The one Tidus is from. That place was totally awesome.

    I bet XII will have a bunch of places where I would want to live. Multi-ethnic!

16. Which is the best airship?

    The Blackjack.

17. Which is the best Cid?

    Highwind!

18. Which is the worst Cid?

    The one from VI. Boring.

19. What are your favourite FF weapons?

    Buster Sword for its ridiculousness; also, spears.

20. Who was the best FF villain?

    Sephiroth, no question. Exdeath was a hack, Golbez loses huge points for mind control, Zemus/Zeromus was a hack, I didn't finish 9 so I don't even know what was going on with that, Edea loses huge points for mind control, Ultimecia was a hack, and the dude/thing from X was pretty much brain-dead anyway by the time we went to put him out of his misery.

    Delita was cool. Kefka was cool. But Sephiroth was the only one who commanded such fascination, respect, and pure, boiling hate. And for that, he wins the candy.

21. Moogles or Chocobos?

    Can you ride a Moogle? NO, I DIDN'T THINK SO.

22. Which is your favourite magic system?

    Tactics.

23. Which is the worst magic system?

    Remember how I said I played FFI for like ten minutes back in 2002? That's what that was all about.

24. Which two FF characters would make the best couple?

    Leaving out canon stuff like Locke/Celes? I blame B for the fact that I always pictured Terra and Edgar hooking up half a year after the game ended.

    If we're allowed to cross universes, though, I think Sabin and Selphie would be great together. The enthusiasm! The silliness! The physical attractiveness! The bad judgement!

    Have I mentioned that I basically know Selphie in real life? She's hardcore. You'll probably see her in a movie someday.

25. Which NPC would you most like to have in your party?

    For some reason, I can't think of any right now! No one from FFIV, no one from V... in VI, everyone vaguely interesting was in the party anyhow. About all I can think of is Beatrix. Actually, let's just call that my answer. Beatrix rocked. Scratch that—Reno and Rude.

26. Which do you prefer, a futuristic or medieval setting?

    I'm all about the techno-fantasy. So, like... VI and VII? And X.

I knew a girl in university who looked so much like Aeris that I thought she really should have done a cosplay of her -- she would've been able to fool people into thinking she really was. ^^

kind of late reading this, but...i'm probably the only person in the entirety who would enough of the same people (real and fictional) to actually catch that extra shout-out you stuck into #24. so true.
