Jul. 8th, 2006 04:45 amI was yakking at Chris.bro and Greg about this earlier. So I'm trying out this Mac program called VoodooPad Lite? It's basically a desktop wiki. Stores everything in a bundle file format, and seems to have a reasonably robust export functionality.
What's the point? Well... I really need something for story-support that works better than twenty random text files. This is what I'm looking at now; I'm considering trying out DevonThink later. (DevonThink seems a lot more scarily-proprietary, though. I think I've acquired a pathological fear of non-free formats and ware sometime during the last few years. Even VoodooPad is making me slightly nervous, though the XML export eases the twitchies a bit.)
I also considered PB Wiki, but I think I need something 100% local.
Anyway, the upshot is that my character documents already seem a lot more organized than they were before, and I'm not even finished with dumping them into the thing.
