Gruber pretty much pins down what was bugging me about that nifty new Amazon gadget. Mark Pilgrim says the same thing only bitchier, and that's cool too. I say: you can't sell me something in a cool new digital format -- or the cool new gadget to view it on -- by saying "It's just like the analog equivalent, only worse!" A book I can't lend or give away is less than a book.

Though that screen IS pretty neat.
