I found Gallery2 really easy to set up. But then I'm used to

Setting up was pretty easy, especially on Dreamhost. Duplicating the state of a year-and-a-half old installation of it on my Macbook was intermediate. Customizing it in such a way that one's modifications will gracefully survive upgrades is... kinda hard.
