The fleas in my room are discovering the hard way that bumping into my leg hairs will tell me exactly where they are. Selection pressure! So, flea starvation vs. rise of the super ninja fleas -- I call it as about 50/50.

Perhaps they will evolve a more general purpose intelligence and subsequently build stealthy UAVs (Unfleaed Autonomous Vehicles) to do their collection for them. Super robot ninja fleas.
