While following up on a cold trail for part of a nearly-finished character name project, it was revealed to me that the traditional Montreal diminutive for the common sky rat is "flying ashtray."
EDIT: I was about to post this link with a comment or two, but then I got this incredibly weird, like, double- or triple-layer hit of déjà vu. (Like, I had a possibly bogus déjà vu memory of having déjà vu about whatever I was doing.) So now I'm just going to go whimper in the corner, or finish what I was doing before or something.
(Has anyone bothered to figure out what déjà vu is yet? Just askin'.)
