Why yes, I do intend to get some writing done today. Just as soon as I inhale that stack of Bleach tankoubon that I got from the library.

It's been a goodly while since I got hyped up about a manga, so this is a nice change of pace. Anyway, I like it. It's got kind of a Buffy-the-Vampire-Slayer-on-speed sort of vibe, I really like the characterization, the pace is decent,* and honestly, how can you not love their frowny little faces? Even the annoying characters are awesome.

* Except for the chapter where Orihime manifested her powers, but really, he kind of set himself up for a stumble on that one.

I've been sneaking in writing here and there (on the train, during down time, and so on) since I started the new job, and I'm happy to say that I've done 5065 words that count* so far this week. But today, I'm 275 words short of goal. Thank you -- your post is getting me off my ass to go do dishes, pack my lunch, and then get cracking.

*It is difficult to define what words count. LJ posts do not, unless they're really good; the second thing I posted about Vista, for example, counts. No other recent post does. Most of them this week, happily, have been going into actual story land.

No, wait, I'm sleepy. Dishes are done, but the writing won't be. I'll write extra tomorrow. It's Friday, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I really liked Bleach at first when I read some back at Gaidai. I think I read the first five volumes. But then it started getting really long and repetetive with too many characters for my tastes. Lemme know if it gets good again!
